CAP SOLAR UNDERSTANDS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, BECAUSE WE ARE ONE

NON-PROFIT SOLAR
NON-PROFT SOLAR

As non-profit organizations lack of credit ratings, for-profit solar developers have ignored our market sector. Cap Solar was created by a non-profit to bring other non-profit organizations into the green energy revolution. Cap Solar partnered with Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group to create a Social Impact investment for non-profit solar.  Through this partnership, Cap Solar was able to sell 100% of the tax credits because as a non-profit, we are unable to utilize this incentive. This program has created over $2 million in savings to our customers, which are put back into their missions to serve their communities.

Cap Solar has just accessed new fiscal resources, and we are looking for new projects help those who need it the most.  If you have a project for us to consider, click here

LOW AND MODERATE INCOME  COMMUNITY SOLAR

Cap Solar is heavily invested in Community Solar because it offers the greatest opportunity to make the lowest income persons part of the savings that renewables can offer.  Utilizing the unique tools of a non-profit, Cap Solar has realized as much as a 50%+ discount on power payments for our low-income clients.  Through 1,000 Community Action Agency (CAA) programs across the country, Cap Solar is able to use CAA's collective data to target the low income market. Ultimately, we see LMI community solar as the tool to reduced the dependency on the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and other needs-based government programs.

To Cap Solar, renewable energy is not a commodity: it is an opportunity to help serve the community.
